Pregnant woman believed to be among victims in violent hatchet attack on north side

Police say two victims and one suspect were transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — An argument on the city’s north side ended in a violent attack with a hatchet Sunday afternoon, according to police.

Officers said the fight occurred earlier that day between the homeless victims and suspect near Northwest Loop 410 and San Pedro Avenue.

The suspect allegedly returned to the location later that afternoon with a hatchet, striking the victims. Two victims, including a woman whe appeared to be pregnant, were taken to the hospital. The suspect was also taken to the hospital with injuries. Police said none of their injuries were life-threatening.
