First day of 409 Weekend kicks off Saturday with more to come Sunday

The overcast and windy weather didn't stop dozens of families from enjoying the food, live music and venders at Tyrrell Park, all featuring a bit of local flair.

BEAUMONT, Texas — The second annual 409 Day has evolved into 409 Weekend, with Tyrrell Park hosting the first day of festivities Saturday afternoon.

The overcast and windy weather didn't stop dozens of families from enjoying the food, live music and venders at Tyrrell Park, all featuring a little bit of local flair.

As mentioned, this is just the first day of celebrations, and there are still two more festivals to be held Sunday.

Both the Crawfish Festival and and the Spring Arts Festival are being held tomorrow, April 28, at the Downtown Event Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The events are both free and will feature food, live music, a kids zone and other activities.

Just like today, the second day of 409 Weekend is shaping up to be a fun time for the whole family.
