Police seek two suspects in Tuesday morning robbery of Beaumont convenience store

Both suspects left the store on foot with cash, cigarettes, the store's phone and the clerk's mobile phone.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police officers are searching for two suspects who they say robbed a convenience store at Interstate 10 and Washington Blvd early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a panic alarm at the Express Mart at 2210 IH-10 South at about 3:13 a.m. according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.

Officer learned on arrival that two men had robbed the store of cash and cigarettes.

The first suspect, a light-complected black male who is about 5'!0" tall and 120 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, held the door of the store open and engaged the clerk in conversation the release said.

He wore a thin mustache and appeared to be 17 - 20 years-old police said.

The second suspect then entered the store wearing a white mask and black gloves and displaying a handgun and demanded money the release said.

He is described as a dark-complected black male who was also wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans,

He appeared to be 17 - 20 years-old and was about 5'7" and 140 pounds the release said.

The clerk then handed the entire cash register drawer to the suspect with the gun while the first suspect went behind the counter and grabbed a pack of Kools police said.

Both men left the store on foot with the cash and cigarettes along with the store's phone and the clerk's mobile phone the release said.
