'Very disturbing' : Investigation underway after multiple dead dogs found dumped near private property in Orange County

At this time, it is unknown how the dogs died or who left them at the location.

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is underway after multiple dead dogs were found dumped on Texla Road in Orange County. 

(Editor's note: 12News is not showing pictures of the dogs or the scene due to the nature of the images.) 

Captain Joey Jacobs told 12News that the Orange County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of the incident and is investigating. At this time, it is unknown how the dogs died, how many of them died or who left them at the location.

"This discovery is very disturbing," Capt. Jacobs said. "It’s certainly an open and ongoing matter." 

12News saw the pictures that surfaced on social media. A news crew was at the disturbing scene and saw the deceased dogs.
