White supremacist gang member arrested after deputies find drugs, stolen items at house in Vidor

An investigation lead to the arrest of Christopher Paul Kirbow, who deputies say is a Solid Wood Soldier gang member.

VIDOR, Texas — An alleged white supremacist gang member is in custody after drugs and stolen property were found at a house in Vidor Thursday morning.

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, the Orange County Narcotics Division along with other agencies executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Byrd Street in Vidor. 

An investigation lead to the arrest of Christopher Paul Kirbow, who deputies say is a Solid Wood Soldier gang member.

The Solid Wood Soldiers are a Texas-based white supremacist prison gang, originally known as the Stupid Woods, according to Anti-Defamation League's website.

Deputies say they found methamphetamine, ecstasy, hydrocodone, and distribution paraphernalia inside the home.

However, they did not specify how much of any of the drugs was found.

Kirbow was arrested on two charges of possession of a controlled substance for the methamphetamine and the ecstasy the release said.

Additional charges will be filed as the investigation continues, according to the release.

The search warrant was obtained after an investigation into the distribution of meth in Vidor area, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 

The residence was suspected of being used as an illegal fencing and storage operation for stolen vehicles and trailers. 

While deputies and officers were on scene, they found a trailer that was determined to be stolen and the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force obtained an additional search warrant, according to the release.

Several vehicles with altered VIN plates, a trailer, a chainsaw and other items were found outside the home and confirmed to have been stolen from various areas around Southeast Texas.

The owners of the stolen items were called and deputies arranged for them to get their belongings back according to the release

Other agencies involved include the Orange County SWAT, Orange County Criminal Investigations Division, Vidor Police Department, Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation - Beaumont.
