Fourth man arrested for 2018 robbery of Bevil Oaks Dollar General

The fourth man turned himself into the Jefferson County Jail on Thursday for aggravated robbery.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Harris County Sheriff's Deputies arrested the fourth of four men wanted in a 2018 robbery of a Dollar General Store in Bevil Oaks.

Joseph Simpson was checked into the Jefferson County Jail Thursday, May 31 for Aggravated Robbery.

The robbery happened Feb, 4, 2018 at the Dollar General on Highway 105 in Bevil Oaks.  The cashier told deputies that two armed men took cash and fled to a dark colored car that had two other men inside.  

The car fled west toward sour lake. Sour Lake PD spotted the car and the men bailed out of the car after a short chase.

Officers that evening caught three other men from the car.  They are:

  • Shedric Deblanc  DOB: 2/6/96, of Ames, one of the men captured that night, has already gone to trial. He was sentenced to 25 years.
  • Christopher Henderson, is set for trial in July.  He is currently out on bond.
  • Mario Hurtado, DOB 8/23/98, is set for trial in July.
