Today is St. Patrick's Day and many Southeast Texans were walking around looking like money at the Nederland Heritage Festival today.
Many people going with only one thing in mind, food.
Jerry Huitt and his wife Vickie Huitt has attended the festival every year. Jerry says his favorite part is eating the carnival food.
"I love the food. I love the food and I love the people", Jerry said.
His wife Vickie says besides the food, she enjoys being a part of the community most.
"It's just a lot fun. Its a family atmosphere and the people coming together for the community makes it a lot of fun", she said.
