Bridge City adds hardware as Carson Fall collects her 300th strikeout of the year

In this 2-0 victory, Fall would go 7 innings pitched, not allowing a single run, nor a single walk.

BRIDGE CITY, Texas — The Bridge City Cardinals softball team have been on fire so far this season.

Runs have come in large numbers to help collect win, after win, after win.

But it's what the Lady Cards have been doing on the mound that has set them apart from the pack.

One name that stands out is Carson Fall.

Fall has had one outstanding year so far, in large part due to her capabilities to consistently go out and dominate a ballgame.

Tuesday, April 2 Bridge City faced off against a district rival the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears.

In this 2-0 victory, Fall would go 7 innings pitched, not allowing a single run, nor a single walk. She also struck out 18 batters.

In this game, Fall was able to surpass 300 strikeouts in the season as Bridge City remains undefeated in district, still looking ahead to just how far this season might take them.

Not only have the Lady Cardinals governed all of the district in their matchups, but nobody has been able to produce a single run against them since March 18 when they played the Vidor Lady Pirates.

In fact, the overall scoring difference Bridge City has had over their opponents over the last month of play is a staggering 68-3.

A huge congratulations to Fall, her teammates and their accomplishments so far this year.

But the Lady Cards are playing a style of ball right now that's determined to go further, a lot further.
