A Beaumont business is fighting to keep live music outdoors at the establishment.
Today, attorneys representing Starvin' Marvin's Bar and Grill on 11th Street argued for an injunction to stop the city from enforcing a noise ordinance.
Attorneys for the restaurant's owner say dinner conversation would be louder than Beaumont's noise law allows and any music would obviously be louder.
The attorneys brought in a law professor to testify that the noise ordinance should fall under zoning issues; they also say Starvin' Marvin's did not get the due process of law.
12 News HD was not able to get a comment from the city's attorneys.
