Southeast Texas could see fall temperatures next week as cold front approaches

The lakes area could see temperatures in the lower fifties.

It may be time to give your air conditioner a break and crank the heater up.

Wednesday, October 9, could bring much cooler temperatures to Southeast Texas, a welcome change from the summer heat.

Temperatures could drop into the lower to middle fifties.

The lakes could see lower fifties, with the Golden Triangle likely to get weather in the mid-fifties.

The Euro has warmed since Monday's run while the GFS has cooled and both now show similar results across Southeast Texas.

Low humidity is expected to follow the cold front through the rest of next week.

A second, yes second, strong cold front could move through on Friday, October 11, giving Southeast Texas more beautiful weather with highs in the seventies and lows in the fifties.

This could change, as it is still too early to be sure.
