Man and wife found dead in Anahuac home on Christmas Eve

Matthew Kline, 28, and his wife, Dominique Schliske, 26, were found dead in their home on December 24 according to a Facebook post from Chambers County Sheriff's Office.

CHAMBERS COUNTY — Matthew Kline, 28, and his wife, Dominique Schliske, 26, were found dead in their home on December 24 according to a Facebook post from Chambers County Sheriff's Office.

Initial investigation leads detectives to believe that Schliske was in the master bedroom of their home and was shot in the head while asleep according to the post. Kline was found lying on the floor next to the bed with a weapon close by according to the post.

Detectives believe Kline had a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Investigation shows that the two had been deceased at least a few hours before being found by a relative that came by to check on the couple according to the post.

The investigation is ongoing. Randy Van Deventer, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, has ordered autopsies on the two according to the post.

On December 24 Chambers County Sheriff’s deputies responded to FM 2041 in Anahuac in reference to deceased persons. Discovered were Matthew Allen Kline, 28, and his wife, Dominique Schliske 26. Initial investigation leads detectives to believe that Domique Schliske was in the master bedroom of their home and was shot in the head while asleep. Matthew Kline was discovered lying on the floor next to the bed with a weapon close by also dead with what detectives believe was a self inflicted gun shot would to the head. The investigation shows they had been deceased at least a few hours before being discovered by a relative that was checking on the couple’s welfare. The investigation is ongoing at this time; Justice of the Peace precinct 2 Randy VandeVenter has ordered autopsies on the decedents.
