LUMBERTON, Texas — Fans, family and friends of the Lumberton High School girl's soccer team gave them a rousing send-off Tuesday morning as they headed to the state playoffs again.

The Lumberton Lady Raiders will be playing in the 4A state semifinal soccer game in Georgetown on Wednesday morning and hope to make it to the finals for a chance at the title.

If they win the title it would be the team's first title.

They defeated Vidor High School's Lady Pirates in Katy this past Saturday to make it to the semifinal game where they will face Celina High School's Lady Bobcats.

Wednesday's semifinal game will be the third time they have faced Celina in the semifinal game. Previously they have lost their other semifinal games against the Lady Bobcats.

The Lady Bobcats finished their season 24-2-2 and won their district by going 13-0-1.

Kickoff is at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

If Lumberton beats Celina they play in the finals in Georgetown on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
