BEAUMONT, Texas — A sushi restaurant will be moving in to the building that formerly housed Logan's Roadhouse at Parkdale Mall in Beaumont.
Sushi Masa, an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant with locations in Texas, Louisiana and Florida, will be opening up next year in the spot along Dowlen Rd on the south side of the mall's parking lot.
The planned opening is set for June or July 2024 according to the general manager at the Sushi Masa in Spring.

A banner on the building announced the new tenant which features an AYCE menu.
The closest Sushi Masa to Beaumont is the restaurant's location in Spring.
There is also a location in Sugar Land and College Station as well as Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Pensacola and Lakeland, Florida according to the restaurant's website.
The restaurant is dedicated to "crafting handmade nigiri, sashimi," and opened it's first location in 2010 according to its website.
The Logan's Roadhouse permanently closed in early May 2023 after being in operation for several years in the spot.
In a statement provided to 12News at the time, SPB Hospitality representatives say their decision to close down restaurants is influenced by "everything from real estate, new restaurant decisions, and lease-negotiation strategies."
The decision didn't come lightly and after careful review, the "strategic decision" to close the location was made they told 12News in May.
SPB Hospitality representatives said at the time that they want to express their sincere gratitude to patrons who have supported the Beaumont restaurant over the years.
"We are grateful for the memories and experiences we have shared together, and we will always cherish the relationships we have built with our loyal customers," they said in the statement.
