ORANGE, Texas — Staff at a Southeast Texas school are excited to have a new vending machine that they believe will promote reading and hard work among the students.

Little Cypress Intermediate received a grant from the LCM Education Foundation for a book vending machine.

The new addition to the school was unveiled last week during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Students can get books from the machine using tokens that they earn by showing "PRIDE," which stands for positivity, respect, integrity, determination, and encouragement.

One token will get a student one book.

The LCM Education Foundation Secretary Amberly Craft helped with the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Staff sent a special thanks to everyone that made the new addition possible.
