'We're grateful to be here' | Layne's Chicken in Beaumont offering free food Monday to first responders, teachers and more

The restaurant is offering a free three-finger meal to first responders, city workers, nurses, teachers and veterans on Oct. 30, 2023.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Layne's Chicken in Beaumont is inviting the community out to their "First Responder & Teacher Appreciation Day" event on Monday.

The restaurant, located at 3635 College St., is offering a free three-finger meal to first responders, city workers, nurses, teachers and veterans on Oct. 30, 2023.

You will need to present official identification in order to receive the free meal.

This offer is valid until the restaurant closes at midnight.

Franchise owner Masroor Fatany tells 12News his team is blown away by the amount of support they've received since the grand opening just a week and a half ago.

"We're just so thrilled to be apart of this community and that's why we're doing this 'Thank you, Beaumont Day,'" he said.

Fatany says giving back to the community is the backbone of the Layne's Chicken brand.

"We encourage people to reach out to us, how we can support them, how we can participate in any after-school activities, nonprofits. We're here to be a member of this community," Fatany said.

Fatany says since opening, they've broken many sales records.

"It's just been a great blessing for us and we're grateful to be here," he said.
