Jefferson County company ordered to pay over $22 thousand for illegally dumping hazardous materials

BEAUMONT, Texas — Applied Standards Inspection INC. is being fined a total of $22,312 for dumping hazardous materials on the ground under sheds to avoid paying for disposal.

Today the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approved the penalties against Applied Standards Inspection INC. for industrial solid and/or hazardous waste violations.

The initial complaint back in 2017 stated that the the owners of the company were illegally dumping the hazardous material under their storage sheds in order to cut back on disposal costs.

Public documents state that the company is located at 4781 Highway 69 South, Beaumont, Jefferson County.
