Beaumont Outback Steakhouse is letting customers 'eat steak and donate' to help raise funds for The Shorkey Center

The Shorkey Center offers everything from physical, speech, applied behavior analysis , recreation and aquatic therapy for kids with disabilities.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Outback Steakhouse in Beaumont is giving you the chance to "Eat Steak and Donate" by hosting a fundraiser to benefit The Shorkey Center.

The restaurant is hosting a Family Spirit Night where customers can present this flyer and Outback will donate 20% of your total check to support education in the community.

This fundraiser is running from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Beaumont Outback located at 2060 I-10 S.

The flier is valid for dine-in, curbside takeaway, or delivery ordered on their website, Outback.com.

The Shorkey Center offers everything from physical, speech, applied behavior analysis , recreation and aquatic therapy for kids with disabilities as well as a daycare.

In February 2024 The Shorkey Center said they were fighting to keep their doors open.

The Shorkey Center has been around since the 1940's and in the same building since the 1970's. The center receives just under $200,000 in grant money from United Way every year. But officials say, it's sadly not enough.

The Shorkey Center is continuing to offer services to families.
