BEAUMONT, Texas — Every school year we hear about teachers who go above and beyond for their students and this year the 12News Daybreak, with your help is recognizing some of our Southeast Texas educators.
We've created the 12News Golden Apple Awards to honor our educators during National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6 - May 10, 2024.
During Teacher Appreciation Week we are honoring five teachers who are making Southeast Texas shine.
12News viewers helped us find these teachers by telling us about a special teacher at their school or in their or their student's life.
We collected nearly 90 nominations between April 1 and April 19, 2024.
They could be be a classroom school teacher, a bible school teacher, piano or music teacher or even a tutor.
We've chosen five teachers who've made a difference from viewer submissions and are announcing one each day during Teacher Appreciation Week on 12News Daybreak.
