DPS investigating crash that left pedestrian dead on I-10 Thursday night

The man was pronounced dead on scene by a Justice of the Peace.

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian dead on Thursday night. 

Troopers responded to reports of a crash around 10:55 p.m. on Interstate Highway 10 near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive exit in Orange County.

A 2017 Toyota Camry was traveling east when it struck a pedestrian who entered the roadway, according to DPS.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured. 

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace.
