Beaumont Police arrest one of the two aggravated robbery suspects after SWAT team serves search warrant on North Major Drive

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are have arrested one of the two aggravated robbery suspects after a SWAT team helped serve a search and arrest warrant Monday night at a townhome in the city's west end.

17-year-old Chardarion Parker was arrested during a traffic stop near Lucas & Eastex today by a BPD Task Force officer.

Police are still searching for 19-year-old Latrevion Roberts.

 According to Beaumont Police Department call logs, BPD was sent to the scene at 7 p.m. and then called SWAT to perform a search/arrest warrant.

SWAT along with an armored vehicle was sent out to a town home on 1212 North Major Drive across the street from Bayou Café, according to Officer Carol Riley.

The initial call was what BPD described as a "high-risk search/arrest warrant for aggravated robbery suspects.

The search warrant started from an investigation of the aggravated robbery at the Cherry gas station where BPD were able to identify two of the suspects.

Aggravated robbery warrants were issued for Parker and Roberts.

During the investigation, officers found out that the suspects and evidence of the crime may be at the townhome on N. Major.

Due to the "high risk nature" of the search/arrest, BPD’s SWAT team was called.

Before entering, police were seen using a drone to scout out the area.

Two people voluntarily exited the townhome initially and information was received that a third person was still inside. After search the townhome, the third person was found hiding in the trunk of a vehicle in the garage.

12News crew at the scene saw someone being put into a car in handcuffs.

Dozens of witnesses looked on from behind police barricades as SWAT figured out how to best navigate the situation. However, BPD is asking people to avoid the area until given the all clear.

A woman was arrested for outstanding warrants, the second person was released and the third person found in the trunk was arrested for unrelated charges.

Parker and Roberts were not found inside and detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating them.

They are considered armed and dangerous and are suspects in numerous violent crimes committed in Beaumont.
