One injured, money stolen after armored car robbed outside Port Arthur Market Basket

A man took an unknown amount of money from a Rochester Armored Car Services and Transportation Truck, police said.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur Police are investigating after one person was injured in an armored car robbery.

The robbery happened about 8:59 a.m. at the Market Basket in the 5800 block West Port Arthur Road in Port Arthur. 

A man took an unknown amount of money from a Rochester Armored Car Services and Transportation Truck, Port Arthur Police Detective Sadie Guedry said.

One person was found beaten at the scene, Guedry said. The suspect is still on the loose.
