One injured after gunfire erupts at Plymouth Village Apartments Sunday morning

Police describe shooting as a 'large crime scene,' multiple vehicles and apartments damaged by gunfire.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police responded to 5080 Helbig Rd. after receiving reports that someone was shot early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the Plymouth Village Apartments just after 12 a.m., regarding reports of shots fired. 

Before their arrival, dispatch received a call from an apartment unit reporting that someone inside had been shot.

When officers arrived, they discovered a "large crime scene" with multiple vehicles and apartments damaged by gunfire.

They located a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening injury. 

The victim declined to press charges, according to BPD.
