BEAUMONT, Texas — The Grammy and Stellar award nominated gospel group is coming to spread the love in Southeast Texas this spring.
All of the original members of the gospel group Commission are touring across the nation and bringing the reunion experience with them.
Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Mitchell Jones, Karl Reid, Keith Staten, Michael Brooks and Michael Williams are coming back together. The reunion experience is set to take place at Ford Park Arena on April 9.
The Detroit natives barely raised enough money to produce their first album in 1985, sources say. Fast forward 35 years, all of their combined album sales are worth more than $12 million.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. for the early April show. The show will start at 8 p.m. and doors open at 7 p.m.
