BEAUMONT, Texas — Camryn Burchett is a reporter at 12News in Beaumont, Tx, specializing in general assignment reporting.
She joined 12News in October 2022 to work on the assignment desk and became a reporter working with the Daybreak team in May 2024.
Burchett was born in Beaumont and is a Nederland High School graduate.
Previously she worked as a camera operator for Dave Campbell's Texas Football and worked as a para-professional at schools in Cypress and Houston before coming back to Southeast Texas.
Burchett is a collector of all things related to Charles Schultz's "Peanuts" and enjoys teaching herself new skills like sewing embroidery and the piano.
Outside of work Burchett listening to live music and being outdoors.
She loves 70s and 80s music and wishes she'd been able to see Elvis and the Beach Boys live as well as Def Leppard in their prime.
