12News making transmitter upgrades affecting Beaumont area viewers

These upgrades will make our signal more reliable for 12News viewers.

BEAUMONT, Texas — 12News is making upgrades to its transmitters from October 17 to October 20.

During the period of October 17 - 20, 2023,  over-the-air and some other viewers in Beaumont and the surrounding areas may experience a temporary signal disruption.

Don't worry, you can still watch our newscasts by using the 12News app, visiting 12NewsNow.com/Watch or via 12News Plus on Roku, FireTV and AppleTV.

We appreciate your patience as we make these upgrades that will make our signal more reliable for you, our viewers.

The transmitter on the KBMT tower must be shut down for the safety of the workers performing the maintenance.

The transmitter will be shut down from 11: 35 p.m. - 4 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, through Friday, October 20, 2023.

Viewers on Spectrum cable will not be affected. 

However, over-the-air viewers using an antenna and viewers on DirectTV, Dish Network and in the KVHP viewing market will be affected during these hours.

This maintenance will affect the over-the-air signals for the following channels that are served from the KBMT tower...

  • 12.1 ABC
  • 12.2 NBC
  • 12.3 COZI
  • 12.4 METV
  • 12.7 TRUE CRIME
  • 12.8 QUEST
  • 12.16 TWIST
