ORANGE, Texas — It's a familiar sound during the holidays.
The Salvation Army Kettle Bell Ringers collecting cash to support local families.
However, this year, they need some help.
The Orange branch of The Red Kettle Campaign is falling short. Only $30,000 of its $70,000 goal has been collected.
Donations support areas of need like feeding the hungry and helping families with utility bills.
"The Red Kettle is more than just a red bucket; it's a symbol of hope, love, and community. Each contribution brings us one step closer to a brighter Christmas for all. Let's fill up every Red Kettle this season and spread the warmth of the holiday spirit," The Salvation Army says in a Facebook post.
If you'd like to help, drop your spare change in a local kettle or donate online.
