One person taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries after crash on Highway 124

Around 9 a.m. a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north, while a Ford Explorer was traveling south on near Dugat Road.

BEAUMONT, Texas — One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning.

Around 9 a.m. a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north, while a Ford Explorer was traveling south on Highway 124 near Dugat Road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to DPS the driver of the Chevrolet didn't drive in a single lane and crossed over into the southbound lane where it hit the Ford, causing the it to overturn.

The driver of the Chevrolet was treated on the scene and release. They were cited for failing to drive in a single lane.

The driver of the Ford was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment non-life-threatening injuries.

DPS is investigating the crash.
