Hardin County issues flood warning until Monday morning

HCEM says multiple locations in Hardin County will experience flooding.

HARDIN COUNTY, Texas — A flood warning is in effect for Hardin County and is expected to last through Monday morning at 10 a.m.

Hardin County Emergency Management says that the warning comes in wake of small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall in a portion of Southeast Texas, including Hardin County.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Kountze, Sour Lake, Saratoga, Thicket, Wildwood, Honey Island, Batson, Village Mills and Votaw, according to HCEM.

Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring, according to a release from HCEM.

HCEM warns drivers to turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
