Autopsy of Orange homicide victim released one day before funeral

Orange Police Det. Robert Enmon told 12News preliminary autopsy results show that the Octavius Lamont Williams, 37, of Orange, died from a single gunshot wound to the torso.

ORANGE — Orange Police are still investigating after a man was found dead in his apartment last Saturday.

Orange Police Det. Robert Enmon told 12News preliminary autopsy results show that Octavius Lamont Williams, 37, of Orange, died from a single gunshot wound to the torso.

Enmon said they found the body at the apartments in the 300 block of 2nd Street just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 22. Family members of Williams told 12News it looked like their loved one, who went by "Whoodi," had been robbed.

Orange Police have interviewed several persons of interest but no one has been charged yet. The investigation is ongoing.

Williams' funeral will be held at El Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 1 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
