The shootout happened on the north end of the city less than a quarter mile north of the Silsbee Police station.

SILSBEE, Texas — A shootout among three teens along North 5th St in Silsbee Monday evening left one wounded and led to the arrest of all three.

Police say at least 19 shots were fired during the shootout next to JR's Food Mart on the north end of the city less than a quarter mile north of the Silsbee Police Department.

Brayden Beasley, 17 and Cameron Davis, 17, were both arrested and charged with deadly conduct, which is a third degree felony according to police.

A 16-year-old, who is not being named because he is a juvenile, was also arrested and charged with deadly conduct, theft of a firearm, which is a state jail felony, unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana police said.

At about 6 p.m., as the 16-year-old was walking out of the store towards Kirby Ave, the two 17-year-olds, who were passing by in a Kia, stopped and opened fire according to police.

The 16-year-old, who was wounded in the shootout, was also armed and returned fire at the pair police said.

When officers got there they found the Kia abandoned down the block near the intersection of Kirby Ave and North 4th St.

Officers found the wounded teen at the scene and found that he had marijuana and a stolen gun.

He was taken by ambulance to Christus St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he was treated and then released to police.

The wounded 16-year-old is now being held in the Hardin County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Police tracked down and arrested both Beasley and Davis who were taken to the Hardin County Jail.

Both were released on a $20,000 bond Tuesday morning according to a jailer.

The shooting is still under investigation according to police.
