VIDOR, TX - Portable buildings will be the temporary campus for Oak Forest Elementary in Vidor. 12News goes inside to give you a first hand look.

22 buildings will make up the new temporary classrooms for Oak Forest Elementary. Each building will hold 2 classrooms. There will also be a cafeteria on site, that is made up of seven portable buildings.

Vidor superintendent Dr. Jay Killgo says portable buildings are rentals. The buildings could cost the district roughly $3 million dollars. Cotton Industries is the company that is renting the buildings to Vidor ISD. Dr. Killgo is unsure when Oak Forest Elementary School will be repaired.

The total repairs for both Oak Forest Elementary and Vidor Middle School could cost around $11 million.
