BEAUMONT, Texas — Cloud filled skies will remain in place through the rest of the week, as will warm temperatures.

Light showers can be expected for Friday, but a cold front is expected to sweep through Southeast Texas on Saturday. That cold front will bring a high coverage of rain, but doesn't look to result in any flooding or severe weather. Up to 2" of rain could fall throughout SETX, but generally speaking, most towns and cities will see under an inch of accumulated rain through Saturday afternoon.

Temperatures will slide quite a bit on Saturday afternoon, as upper 60s temperatures will fall into the 40s by the time the late afternoon and early evening come about. Overnight lows for both Saturday night into Sunday morning, as well as Sunday night into Monday morning look to be in the 30s for most of Southeast Texas. Along Highway 190 has the potential to see some middle to upper 20s for Sunday morning, but I don't expect it to be cold enough for a long enough period of time to result in any huge damage/issues. With that said, make sure to take the proper preparations when it comes to plants, and bring those outdoor pets in!

Temperatures will rebound for Monday and Tuesday, but another cold front will move through on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. That will bring cooler conditions back to the region for the middle of the week. Expect to see another solid coverage of rain with this cold front.
