BEAUMONT, Texas — DPS confirms a Vidor man is in surgery after the 3-vehicle crash on I-10 on Sunday around 5 p.m.
DPS was called to a multiple-vehicle crash near mile marker 841 in Jefferson County on Sunday afternoon, according to a DPS news release.
A BMW car was traveling eastbound on I-10 when the driver had a medical emergency and lost control, veering into the cable barriers according to the release.
A cable wire snapped, striking a pickup truck in the eastbound traffic lanes according to the release.
The impact dislodged a tire, which traveled into the westbound lane, striking a commercial vehicle according to the release.
Both the eastbound and westbound sides on I-10 according were affected according to the news release.
