HARDIN COUNTY, Texas — A 71-year-old Silsbee woman was killed in a multiple vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon at Highway 96 and Andover Road.
Theresa Martin was killed when she was involved in a crash with another vehicle according to a DPS news release. Jessica Adams, 21, of Silsbee was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth.
DPS Troopers say Adams' injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

At approximately 5:15p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of US 96 and Andover Road in Hardin County.
The preliminary DPS crash investigation indicates that a 2016 Mitsubishi SUV was traveling northbound on US 96. A 2009 Nissan pickup truck was traveling westbound on Andover Road approaching the stopped intersection. The driver of the Nissan failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of the Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi struck the Nissan on the driver-side of the vehicle.
The driver of the Nissan, 71-year-old Theresa Martin of Silsbee, was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Melissa Minton at the scene.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, Jessica Adams, 21, also of Silsbee, was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital. Her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
