No injuries reported after 18-wheeler overturns on Interstate 10 near Boyt Road Saturday

The driver reportedly failed to drive in a single lane and went into a ditch.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas — No injuries have been reported after an 18-wheeler overturned on Interstate 10 near Boyt Road Saturday afternoon.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety said a 2010 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was driving east on Interstate 10 around 2 p.m. 

The driver reportedly failed to drive in a single lane and went into a ditch, according to a Texas DPS release. It was at this point that the 18-wheeler overturned on its right side. 

The driver was not injured, and no other injuries were reported.

Troopers are investigating the incident. This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.

JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a non-injury crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on Interstate Highway 10, near Boyt Road, that occurred today, March 25, 2023.

The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 2 p.m., a 2010 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling east. It is reported that the driver failed to drive in a single lane to the right and traveled into the ditch, where it overturned on its right side.

The driver was not injured. There is no additional information available.
