Jack-knifed big rig, diesel spill shut down IH-10 west of Beaumont briefly Friday morning

All lanes of the interstate were reopened by just just after 7 a.m.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Jack-knifed 18-wheeler and spilled diesel fuel forced the closure of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Brooks Rd Friday morning.

Beaumont Police were called about incident just after 5 a.m. Friday morning.

It is unknown if there were any injuries reported following the incident.

By about 6 a.m. Beaumont Police announced that the eastbound lanes of the interstate were closed while the wreck was cleared and the diesel cleaned up.

All lanes of the interstate were reopened by just just after 7 a.m. according to police.
