Police believe Miller was driving a 2017 Kia Forte east on I-210 when at some point, the Kia became disabled on the roadway. Shortly after, the driver of a 2010 Toyota Camry hit the Kia on the driver’s side, according to a Louisiana State Police release.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.

Those who knew and loved Miller describe him as a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather and friend.

"His sudden passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him," Corey Smith, friend of the Millers, said.

Pam is now facing the daunting task of planning a funeral and taking care of her family's immediate needs, all while coping with the devastating loss of her partner and best friend," Smith said.

The Miller's loved ones said Pamela Miller is now the sole breadwinner for her family. They feel she is facing a significant financial strain and are asking for the community's help in raising money.

"The funds raised will go towards covering the expenses of Henry's funeral, as well as providing financial support for Pam and her son as they navigate this new chapter in their lives," Smith said. "Her son is leaving for college soon, and the family now only has one vehicle, which is making it difficult for them to meet their day-to-day needs."

While Pamela Miller's friends do describe her as a strong and resilient woman, they feel she cannot do this alone.

"Your support will make a significant difference in her life and the lives of her family members," Smith said. "Even a small donation can go a long way in helping them cover the costs of Henry's funeral and meet their basic needs during this challenging time."

The Millers' loved ones are asking everyone to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers. They ask those who are unable to donate to share the GoFundMe with their family and friends.

"Together, we can make a difference for Pam and her family," Smith said.
