VIDOR — A Vidor woman is in the intensive car unit of a Beaumont hospital after being struck by a car in Vidor Monday night.

Connie Bozeman, 59, was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with life-threatening injuries after she was struck in the 500 block of North Main Street near Courtland Street according to a release from the Vidor Police Department.

Police received several calls at about 9:15 p.m. about the incident and when they arrived Bozeman was unresponsive and lying in the street police said.

Medics from Orange County Emergency Services District One also responded and administered aid before medics from Acadian Ambulance arrived to transport Bozeman the release said.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police as they investigate the release said.
