BEAUMONT, Texas — Police and firefighters are on the scene of a truck fire along Interstate 10 just west of Beaumont.
An 18-wheeler travelling in the westbound lanes near Major Drive got a flat tire, struck a barrier and then caught fire after leaving the highway according to a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper on the scene.
The driver escaped without injury according to the trooper.
Drivers in the area should watch for losing traffic.
