You are invited to be part of Neches River Rally 2019, with a chance to travel 4.7 miles of paddling trail in the Big Thicket National Preserve

Paddlers will experience beautiful cypress and tupelo forests, and can also explore Cooks Lake and Scatterman Lake in the process. 

The deadline for registration is set for midnight on September 3, and the event will be held Saturday, September 7 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Registration costs include T-shirt, a hamburger lunch and entertainment.

Participant 13 years and older can register for $45. Participants 12 years and younger can register for $15. 

Registration fees do not include a boat rental. If you will need a rental, call Big Thicket Outfitters at 409-786-1884. 

Registration for groups of 10 or more people can call for a special discount.

This family friendly event is held annually in September. It's a great way to get out in nature and enjoy a Texas Paddling Trail: Cooks Lake to Scatterman. This scenic 4-5 mile loop provides paddlers an opportunity to experience the biological diversity of the Big Thicket National Preserve along the beautiful Neches River.
The Big Thicket Association (BTA) is committed to expanding, enhancing and protecting the Big Thicket National Preserve, in order to assure the preservation, conservation and protection of the natural, scenic and recreational values of a significant portion of the Big Thicket region of southeast Texas.
