For six innings Mid-County got all they could handle from Petal, Mississippi. Heading into their final add bat the hometown team held a slim 4-3 lead, then exploded for eight runs on the way to a 12-3 win.
MC trailed 3-1 heading into the top of the fourth, but a wild pitch followed by a sac fly by Kamden Grant tied things up.
Port Neches-Groves' Grant Rogers picked up the win on the hill. The East Texas Baptist signee finished with seven strike outs in six innings of work while giving up three runs on five hits. Only one of those runs was earned.
