The West Brook Bruins, after getting blown out in Beaumont last season, had The Woodlands on the ropes going to the 4th quarter with game tied at 21.

The Highlanders then put up two TD's to win 35-21.

West Brook took a 13-7 lead in 2nd quarter on a 9 yard TD pass from LaRavien Elia to Damon Ward Jr.

The Woodlands scored just before the half to lead 14-13 at the break. After the Highlanders took a 21-13 lead in 3rd quarter, Thaddeaus Johnson of the Bruins returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a TD and a 2-point conversion tied the game at 21.

Bryeton Gilford led The Woodlands with 109 yards rushing and 2 TD's, as the Highlanders extended their district winning streak to 26 games in a row.

Bruins drop to 2-1 in District 12-6A and will host Lufkin next Friday night.
