NEDERLAND, Texas — Nederland is off to a great start in district play after completing the season sweep of rival Port Neches-Groves Friday night. The Bulldogs improved to (4-0) in District 21-5A after blanking the Indians 5-0, three nights after winning 5-2 at The Reservation.

Nederland (8-7-2, 4-0) steps away from league play Tuesday night as they travel to Class 4A state ranked Bridge City. The Bulldogs have split two games with the Cardinals this year so far.

Meanwhile the Indians (7-11-1, 0-2) will try to bounce back next week against Dayton (3-8, 2-0).
