LCM runner Eli Peveto won the 4A Regional Boys Cross-Country race Monday in Huntsville. Peveto overcame an early fall to finish in a time of 16:42. It's Peveto's third straight year to qualify for state.

On the girls side, Orangefield's Maddison Helm also qualified for state by finishing 6th in a time of 12:31 over a two mile course.

In the 5A Meet, Trent Stoute of Lumberton finished 17th with a time of 16:58 and because he was 10th among the individuals not on teams that are headed to state, Stoute will be running in the big meet.

The State Meet will be held November 4 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
