BRIDGE CITY, Texas — Little Cypress-Mauriceville remained perfect in District 22-4A, but it wasn't easy. The Lady Bears were able to hold off a scrappy Bridge City team at Lady Cardinal Field, 7-6.

LCM, the number one ranked team in Class 4A, looked to be in control when Madison Murdock came through with a big two RBI single up the middle to give the Lady Bears a 4-0 lead in the 3rd. That wasn't the case though as the game headed to the seventh tied at five.

In the deciding at bat, LCM's Bailey Frenzel drilled a line drive with bases loaded off the pitcher's leg to score a run. After that Renna Toomey would push across a run of a walk to give the Lady Bears (26-2, 11-0) a two run cushion.

The Cardinals fall to (12-11-1, 4-6) with the loss.
