HUMBLE, Texas — In four previous trips to the Regional Semifinals, Port Neches-Groves failed to score a goal. This morning the Lady Indians ended that drought, but unfortunately couldn't get past the fourth round for the first time as they fell to Kingwood Park, 6-3.

The defending Region III champions took the early lead when Allie Byrd drilled a penalty kick. Minutes later PNG would answer when Breeana Rigs beat the keeper on a free kick.

Both teams were explosive, but in the end the Lady Panthers had too much firepower. Port Neches-Groves ends their season at (19-6-6), while Kingwood Park (25-1-2) will meet Pflugerville for a spot in the State Tournament.
