KOUNTZE, Texas — Kountze boys basketball assistant coach Brady Byars will take over the Lionettes girls program next season.
When asked what the opportunity means to the Silsbee High School alum, Byars said, "It's a true honor to be blessed with this opportunity. I've dreamed about this since I was in high school. I can't wait to get started!"
Before joining the Kountze boys basketball coaching staff, Byars coached the Legacy Christian Academy Middle School basketball team.
Kountze missed out on the playoffs last year after advancing four of the previous five seasons.
