SOUR LAKE, Texas — Bridge City took control of District 22-4A with a convincing 10-2 win over Hardin-Jefferson Tuesday night.
Leading 4-0 after one, the Cardinals (18-6-2, 9-1) added another run when Cameron Yadon lifted a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Deegan King. Big Red would scratch out another run in the inning when Case Skinner laced an RBI single to left field to score Jackson Sims.
Bridge City can clinch a share of the district title Thursday when they travel to Lumberton. Hardin-Jefferson (13-9, 8-2) will try to get back on track at home against Hamshire-Fannett.
