Three arrested, one wanted after 'smash and grab' at Beaumont cellphone store

Two of the three suspects in custody are juveniles, police said.

BEAUMONT, Texas — One suspect is still wanted after an attempted "smash and grab" in Beaumont early this morning. 

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. near Washington Boulevard and Goliad Street, a police officer on scene said. 

Four people ran away on foot after the attempted theft at Metro PCS. Three people are now in custody, but one person is still on the loose, police said. 

Two of the suspects in custody are juveniles.
