NEWTON COUNTY, Texas — Two women who were pulled from the waters of the Toledo Bend Reservoir Wednesday night are going to be okay.
The two 19-year-old women, who were both pulled from the water after 7 p.m. on the southern end of the reservoir, have been treated and released according to the Newton County Sheriff's Office.
One woman was released from a Jasper County medical facility and the second woman was treated and released after being flown by helicopter to a hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana according to the sheriff's office.
When first responders arrived one woman had been pulled from the water and they were told a second woman was found unresponsive at Sam Forse Collins Recreational Park according to a Newton County Sheriff's Office news release.
Both of the women are Louisiana residents.
The names of the women are not being released at this time and the incident is under investigation.
